Kamai Quick Reference Guide (EMEA)
1. Welcome!
Thank you for using Entone’s Kamai Hybrid TV Receiver. This quick reference gives quick instruction for
setting up and using Kamai. For detailed setup and usage instruction, please refer to the
Kamai User’s
Guide
and the
URC 4 User’s Guide
in http://www.entone.com.
2. Before You Begin
Check that the video output connector of the Kamai is properly connected to the input connector of the
TV(s).
In your TV, select the input source that the Kamai is used.
“TV OUT” output by default uses RF TV channel 3.
Check that you have connected Kamai “10/100 ETHERNET” to your network access device. For details
of connecting Kamai to the network, please refer to your service provider.
Software upgrade is required when you power up Kamai for the first time. Software upgrade may take 5-
10 minutes. Do not power off during software upgrade.
3. Install Remote Control Batteries
Install the two AA batteries (provided) into the remote control.
Important!! Use only new AA Alkaline batteries to insure consistent operation.
4. Understanding the Remote Control
This 3 mode Universal Remote Control can be programmed to control your Kamai and up to two other
devices.
Kamai uses infrared (IR) to receive remote control signals. IR signals travel only short distances (10m or
less), and cannot go through walls or other solid objects. You must point the remote control directly at
the Kamai unit, with no objects blocking the line of sight to the front panel of the Kamai unit.
