The ARM7 board
The ARM7 board ensures the following main functions:
The digital serial interface with the Automaton MICRO III board,
The Ethernet connection,
The digital signal processing,
The HCM (Human Computer Interface) through a monochrome LCD display (128 x 240 pixels) and
a 6-key keyboard.
The ARM7 board ensures the dialog with the measurement module and is in charge of the
input/output functions: display, RS232, metrological calculations, Ethernet, I2C.
The ARM7 board also manages the analyzer outside communication:
–
The network link (Ethernet): the Ethernet connector is directly mounted on the DNP-Arm7 board, it
is connected on the lower panel of the analyzer (RJ45 socket) using a suitable cable. The network
communication (Ethernet) uses the UDP protocol.
–
The USB port is directly mounted on the DNP-Arm7 board.
The USB function enables: the backup of the stored data of the analyzer, the software updates, the
erasing of the available data on the USB flash drive, the analyzer backups, the software re-loading,
and the instantaneous measurements acquisition.
REMARK:
In the « CONFIGURATION » menu, the « USB Flash Drive » item is only displayed if a
USB flash drive is connected on the analyzer.
To withdraw the USB flash drive from the rear panel of the analyzer, the user must
imperatively follow the specific withdrawing procedure described in the « USB flash drive
» document provided in Chapter 6 of this manual.
If the USB flash drive is not withdrawn according to this procedure, the user will not be able to access
data present on the USB flash drive anymore, and the USB flash drive will not be recognized anymore
by the analyzer as long as a reboot of the analyzer is not carried out.
It is recommended to use a FAT16 format USB flash drive. If a FAT32 format USB flash drive is used,
the user should make sure that the flash drive is not too full to ensure a successful file transfer.
