Climbing a hill or crossing the face of a slope may result in loss of balance and SnowKart
rollover, causing serious injury or death. Use caution and good judgment when operating
on hilly terrain.
2 .14.7. S LU S H
Slush should be avoided at all times. If you are unable to avoid watery and icy conditions dismount
and walk your SnowKart to more suitable terrain.
2 .14.8. FO G O R W H IT E O U T C O N D ITI O N S
Do not operate the SnowKart in fog or heavy snow. The SnowKart was created for recreational
purposes and should not be used as a mode of transport for mandatory travel or during an
emergency.
2 .14.9. B R I G H T S U N S H I N E
Bright sunny days can considerably reduce your vision due to the glare of the sun off the snow.
Goggles with coloured lenses should always be worn under these conditions. Riders should reduce
their speed and proceed with caution.
2 .14.10. U N FA M I LI A R T E R R ITO RY
When you enter an area that is new to you, drive with extreme caution. Go slow enough to
recognize potential hazards such as fences, rocks, sudden dips, tree branches, wires and other
obstacles. Even when following existing tracks, be cautious. Travel at a slow speed so you can see
what is around.
2 .14.5. D OW N H I L L
Downhill driving requires that you have full control of your vehicle at all times. On steeper hills, go
slowly and keep both hands on the handlebar. If a higher than safe speed is reached, slow down by
braking but apply the brake with frequent light pressure. Never jam the brake and lock the track.
2 .14.6. S I D E H I L L
When crossing a side hill or traversing up or downhill, certain procedures must be followed.
All riders should lean towards the slope as required for stability. Be prepared to shift your weight
quickly if needed. Side hills and steep slopes are not recommended.
