after cleaning or repair work, once the
following operations have been performed.
– Test horn.
– Test Emergency brake switch.
– Test brake.
– Lubricate the truck in accordance with the maintenance schedule.

If the industrial truck is to be decommissioned
for more
than two months , e.g.
foroperational reasons,it must be parked in a frost-free and dry location and
allnecessary measures must be
taken before, during and after decommissioning as
described.
On decommissioning the truck must be jacked up so that all the wheels are clear of
the ground. This is the only way of ensuring that the wheels and wheel bearings are
not damaged.
If the truck is to be out of service for more than 6 months , further measures must be
taken in consultation with the manufacturer’s service department.

– Thoroughly clean the truck.
– Check the brakes.
– Check the hydraulic oil level and replenish as necessary (See 5.3.3 Maintenance
Instructions Page28 ).
– Apply a thin layer of oil or grease to any non-painted mechanical components.
