Peripherals and how to connect them

There are many connections in Epec Mobile PC, such as those for operating voltage

input, display and other external devices. The devices to be connected must be safe
and comply with general electrical safety regulations.

NOTE! Insufficient EMC and EMI properties may give rise to malfunctions in the other
actuators of the machine/vehicle.

1.5

Vehicle servicing

Disconnect the Epec Mobile PC from the voltage supply and all grounding structures

from the hardware for servicing, if welding work is to be carried out on the vehicle.

When servicing/welding a machine/vehicle, all PC connections (ground and voltage
supply) must be disconnected.

NOTE!

It is also recommended that the PC be removed from the installation rack for

the duration of the work. If this is not done, the work may damage the hardware.

1.6

Traffic safety

Using the computer while driving may endanger traffic safety. It is forbidden to use the

device unnecessarily while driving. The vehicle must be stopped for the manual use of

the Epec Mobile PC or to repair a fault. When operating the vehicle, all peripherals,
such as the keyboard and mouse, must be kept in a place set aside for them in order

to avoid traffic accidents.

1.7

How to use the User Manual

This User Manual was written by the original hardware manufacturer who designs and

makes information systems. This Manual may only be applied to the use of the Epec
Mobile PC manufactured by Epec Oy.
