Stream content using UPnP
1. Connect to the admin interface using your preferred connection mechanism. See
2. Login as admin.
3. Click the
UPnP
link in the Configuration section; the UPnP configuration page opens.
4. Scroll to the Play on service start section.
5. Select a stream to use from the
Live stream
drop-down list.
6. Select a digital media player from the
Player
drop-down list. (Digital media players on your network
that support UPnP playback will automatically appear in the drop-down list.)
7. Click
Apply
.
Only a single stream and player combination can be configured for auto play. The channel's UPnP
configuration must be enabled for it to appear.
Change UPnP device name
You can configure the UPnP server name that appears for your Standalone VGA Grid. By default, if you left
the server name field blank when enabling UPnP, the server name is the system's serial number.
To change the UPnP server name:
1. Connect to the admin interface using your preferred connection mechanism. See
2. Login as admin.
3. Click the
UPnP
link in the Configuration section; the UPnP configuration page opens.
4. Highlight and delete the text in the
Server name
field, if any.
5. Type a new server name. Use characters A-Z, a-z, 0-9, _, :, @, ^, #, -. {}, [], ().
6. Click
Apply
; the name changes.
