Scanning from the Automatic Document
Feeder
The scanning instructions are divided into two sections; read
“Scanning a complete document” on page 5-23 to scan an entire
document or image, or read “Scanning part of a document” on
page 5-25 to scan only a certain part of an image or document.
Note:
If you plan to scan documents from the Automatic Document Feeder
using the EPSON SMART PANEL for Scanner application, refer to the
EPSON SMART PANEL for Scanner documentation for details.
Scanning a complete document
You do not need to use the preview feature when scanning a full
document or image. The scanner automatically finds and scans
the whole image. Follow the steps below to scan an image or
document.
For Windows users
1. Load paper in the Automatic Document Feeder as described
in “Loading Paper into Your Automatic Document Feeder”
on page 5-19.
2. Start a TWAIN-compliant application. (The example used
here is TextBridge
®
Pro.)
3. Select
Select Scanner...
from the File menu.
4. Choose
EPSON TWAIN 5 (TWAIN)
from Scanner (driver) list
and click
OK
.
Note:
You usually need to perform this step only the first time you use the
scanner with your application.
