6. If you are copying a 1.2MB diskette, MS-DOS asks you to
insert the source and target diskettes again. Follow the
prompts on the screen.
When the copy is complete, you see this message:
Copy another diskette (Y/N)?
7. Press Y and
Enter
to copy another diskette or
N
and
Enter
to return to the MS-DOS command prompt.
Using DISKCOPY with two diskette drives
1. Make sure the diskette you want to copy is write-protected.
(See “Write-protecting Diskettes” in Chapter 3 for
instructions.)
2. If necessary, type
C
: and press
Enter
to log onto drive C.
3. At the
C
: \> prompt, type the following and press
Enter:
DISKCOPY A: B:
MS-DOS displays this message:
Insert SOURCE diskette in drive A:
Press any key when ready . . .
4. Insert the diskette you want to copy from (the source) into
the diskette drive and press any key. DISKCOPY copies the
contents of the diskette to the computer’s memory. Then
the screen displays this message:
Insert TARGET diskette in drive B:
Press any key when ready . . .
