4. Set the appropriate main system board jumpers to indicate
the total amount of memory you now have. See “Jumper
Settings” on page 6-4 for instructions.
5. Follow the instructions below to reinstall the memory card.
Replacing the memory card
Follow these steps to replace the memory card in your
computer:
1. Hold the card by its top corners and guide it straight down
into its socket on the main system board, as shown below.
2. Secure the memory card bracket to the front of the computer
case with the retaining screw.
3. Replace the computer’s cover as described in Chapter 5. Then
see “Post-installation Setup Procedures” at the end of that
chapter for information on updating the computer’s
memory configuration.
