If your printout contains incorrect characters . . .
■
Your printer’s network cable may not be securely connected. Check that the
cables are connected correctly at all places between your computer and the printer
on the network to ensure proper communication. After adjusting the cable(s), try
printing from an application again.
■
Your printer may not be selected as the current printer in your application, or as
the Windows default printer, or as the current printer in the Macintosh Chooser.
Be sure to select EPSON Stylus COLOR 900N in your application. For
instructions on selecting the Windows default printer, see your Windows
documentation or online help. To select your printer in the Macintosh Chooser,
see page 52.
If your printout is grainy . . .
■
Try using a higher quality paper.
■
Make sure you set the Quality/Speed slider to the
Quality
setting in your printer
software; see page 62 (Windows) or page 65 (Macintosh) for instructions.
■
Run the Print Head Alignment utility. See page 85 for instructions.
■
You may need to increase the image resolution or print it in a smaller size. See
your software documentation for instructions.
Uninstalling Printer Software
If you need to uninstall and reinstall your printer software (the driver, EPSON Status
Monitor 2, or EPSON Net!2), follow the steps in this section.

If any of the suggested solutions above indicate that you should uninstall and then
reinstall your printer driver, follow the steps in the appropriate section below for your
operating system.
