From the network or local drive where you copied the Ethernet
Card utilities, enter EPSETUP.

Select “Install New Ethernet Interface Card.”

Enter the eight-digit Ethernet Card serial number. The serial
number is located on the component-side of the interface
board. You should already have written it down on page
1-2 and in the space provided at the front of this manual
when you installed the Ethernet Card in the printer.

Select “Print Server Mode” to enter the operating mode. (For
instructions on installing as a remote printer, see “Installing
the Ethernet Card as a remote printer,” later in this chapter.)

It is recommended you rename the print server. The serial
number is the default name. Renaming is helpful for later
configuration needs, particularly if you plan to install more
than one Ethernet Card on your network. Enter up to 47
characters. The following characters are not allowed: Ctrl /
and space. A period (.) is allowed, if

Select the master file server.

Configure the Ethernet Card’s port. To successfully set up the
Ethernet Card, you must configure its LPT1 port by assigning
at least one queue to it.

to select the Ethernet Card’s LPT1 port.

In the “Printer Port Configuration” screen, make changes to
port settings as desired. Note that you can turn
configuration report printing on or off.
