Maintenance 6. Replacing the Reduction Gear Units (Joint #1)

(4) Match the screw holes on the inner ring of
the cross roller bearing unit and the
through holes of the circular spline.
(5) Secure the reduction gear flange to the
circular spline.
Loosely fasten all bolts in a crisscross
pattern so that the bolts will be fastened
evenly. Then, using a torque wrench,
tighten each bolt securely in a crisscross
pattern at the torque specified in the table
below.

Be careful not to apply too much force since it may damage the parts.
(6) Apply grease (SK-1A: Yellow) between the waveform generator and motor flange.
