5-1.Replacing the lamp
Caution
• Insert the lamp and fasten the lamp cover securely to turn on the projector without fail. For
safety, the projector turn itself off if the lamp cover is open.
Note:
• The total lamp usage time is automatically reset to 0 when the lamp is replaced with the new
one.
• Replace the air filter with the new one supplied with lamp after replacing the lamp as well.

Replace the lamp as described below.
Use only replacement lamp part number ELPLP05 (optional).
(1)Turn off the projector. Unplug the power cable from the wall outlet after the
projector is cooled down sufficiently.
•
The time required to cool down the projector varies with an ambient temperature.
(2)Lift off the lamp cover after the projector is
cooled down sufficiently.
•
It takes about 60 minutes to cool down the
projector sufficiently.
•
Use a screwdriver, coin, or similar object to
loosen the two retaining screws on the lamp
cover.
(3)Pull out the lamp.
•
Use a screwdriver, coin, or similar object to
loosen the two screws holding the lamp in
position. Lift up the handle.
