3.7.4 Ceiling Mounting
WARNING
■
Install or relocate the Ceiling Mounting Manipulator with two or more people.
The Manipulator weights are as follows. Be careful not to get hands, fingers, or
feet caught and/or have equipment damaged by a fall of the Manipulator.
GX8-A45**R: approx. 33 kg: 73 lb.
GX8-A55**R: approx. 34 kg: 75 lb.
GX8-A65**R: approx. 35 kg: 77 lb.

When removing the Manipulator from the ceiling, support the Manipulator, and
then remove the anchor bolts. Removing the anchor bolts without supporting is
extremely hazardous and may result in fall of the Manipulator.

Turn OFF all power and remove the wiring and piping connected to the Manipulator.
If you are using the variable mechanical stops for the Joints #1 and #2 and the
operating angle is limited, change the mechanical stop position same as the factory-
configured. For details, refer to “
5.2 Motion Range Setting by Mechanical Stops
”.

Cover the arm with a sheet so that the arm will not be damaged. Refer to the figure to
secure the arm.
