Replacing Ink Cartridges
Checking the Ink Supply
You can check the amount of ink remaining in the ink cartridges from the CX6500 itself or your
computer.
Note:
If an ink cartridge other than the one you are going to replace is low, it may become empty after
replacing an ink cartridge. Prepare a new ink cartridge when Epson Status Monitor 3 (Windows)
or Epson Status Monitor (Macintosh) shows the ink is low.
Using the control panel
To check your ink supply on the LCD panel, do one of the following.
Make sure the CX6500 is on, then press the Setup Mode
button.
Press the A button repeatedly until 2.Ink levels appears on the LCD panel and press the
Color
button. The amount of ink appears.
If you want to replace the ink cartridge, go on to the next section. To return to the previous
display without replacing the ink cartridge, press the OK button.
Caution:
Leave the used ink cartridge installed until just before replacement; otherwise, ink
remaining in the print head nozzles may dry out.
