Type
Detachable V-shaped blade cutter
Cutting method
Partial cut (cutting with one point in center left uncut)
•
When taking off the cut paper, the paper is pulled at the cut position and it may cause line spacing
of the next print to partially narrow.
•
To prevent the uneven line spacing, when printing after paper cutting, it is recommended to
advance the paper by approximately 1 mm {16/406 inch} immediately before printing.
•
If the paper is short in vertical length, advance the paper at least 35 mm {1.38 inch}.
Roll paper end detector
Detects the presence or absence of paper in the paper path. When roll paper end is
detected, printing is stopped. Printing is resumed when a roll paper is set and the roll
paper cover is closed.
Paper removal detector
Detects the presence of printed paper that was cut off with the autocutter. The next
printing is started when cutting with the autocutter is finished and the printed paper is
removed. Before starting the next printing, the top margin can be adjusted by feeding
paper backward.
For information about the setting, see GS ( E <Function 5>.
Liner-free label paper should be used with the paper removal detector enabled.
Plain paper should be used with the paper removal detector disabled.
