Paper width
40 mm, 58 mm, 80 mm
•
Do not use a deformed roll paper. Take up any slack in the roll paper when loading it.
•
When shipped from the factory, the 58-mm width roll paper guide is set to use 58 mm wide roll
paper. Remove or attach the roll paper guide(s) according to the width of the roll paper to be used.

•
The paper width setting of the printer is automatically switched depending on whether or not the
58-mm width roll paper guide is set. If it is set, the paper width is set to 58 mm; if it is not set, the
paper width is set to 80 mm. You need to change the paper width setting manually only when
using 40 mm wide roll paper.
Once you print on 40 or 58 mm wide roll paper, do not change to a wider paper (change from 40 to 58
or 80 mm, or change from 58 to 80 mm). If you do so, the following problems may occur.
•
The printout is faint.
•
There are areas or dots that cannot be printed.
•
Black vertical streaks appear on printout.
•
If 40 mm width or 58 mm width paper is skewed during printing, color of paper edge surface may
change.
•
The autocutter cannot cut paper partially or fully, or the cut end is not clean.
•
The printer cannot feed paper normally.
•
A paper jam occurs.
