Reliability
Plain thermal paper
Liner-free label paper
Printer mechanism
20 million lines
(Each line is 3.75 mm, and 10 lines are assumed
to be printed repeatedly for every 15 lines of
paper feed.)
10 million lines
(When a specific pattern is printed repeatedly)
Thermal print head
150 km
(With recommended print density and print
speed)
Note: 150 million dots per heating element
75 km
(With recommended print density and print
speed)
Note: 75 million dots per heating element
Auto Cutter
2 million cuts
(With certified paper: TF50KS-EY)
1 million cuts
MTBF
360,000 hours
*When using thermal paper for printing 20
million lines of product life. A failure is an
accidental failure in the accidental failure
period.
360,000 hours
*When using liner-free label paper for printing
10 million lines of product life. A failure is an
accidental failure in the accidental failure
period.
MCBF
Print 70 million lines
* Indicates overall mean time between failures
including wear and accidental failures, over a
product life of 20 million lines of print.
Print 35 million lines
* Indicates overall mean time between failures
including wear and accidental failures, over a
product life of 10 million lines of print.
•
Reliability varies depending on the paper used. For details, contact Epson sales company.
•
If paper dust or glue from roll paper accumulates inside the printer, it may cause poor printing,
erratic paper feeding or cutting, or paper jamming. It is recommended to clean the inside of the
printer periodically (about once every 6 months) or when it becomes noticeably dirty. For the
cleaning method, see
"Cleaning the Printer" on page 72
•
If liner-free label paper is left in the printer for a long period of time, the liner-free label paper may
stick to the platen roller and paper jams may easily occur. If a paper jam occurs, perform the
specified cleaning.
•
If a paper jam occurs even after cleaning, replace the platen roller.
