The Out of Band DTMF Transport checkbox enables DTMF code transmission in parallel with the voice stream. The destination receiving the
DTMF code will play it locally if it supports the feature. This is helpful to avoid DTMF’s loss upon bad traffic. This feature is valuable for all codecs but
it is especially recommended to enable it in case low bit rate codecs (G729, G723, G726/16, etc.) are selected.
Enable FAX Support checkbox enables the FAX tone detection and the T.38 codec support for the FAX transmission from/to the Fax Machine/Fax
modem attached to the line.
T.38 Invite Only checkbox is available when FAX support is enabled and restricts connection establishment to T.38 codec for the corresponding
extension, i.e. only T.38 codec will be used.
Attention:
Selecting the T.38 Invite Only checkbox will deny common outgoing calls on the extension. These checkboxes take effect ONLY on FXS
lines.
Force Self Codecs Preference for Inbound Calls
checkbox enables the usage of the own preferred codecs (if available on both peers) for the IP
connection establishment on the extension.
Change Admin Password
The Change Admin Password page provides information about the administrator account name and allows changing the administrator password.
It offers the following components:
Old Password requires the current password. An error
message prevents from entering a wrong one.
New Password requires the new password, which has to be
confirmed in Confirm New Password.
The password may consist of numerical values only. A
corresponding warning appears if any other symbols are
inserted.
Please Note:
When reloading a former configuration, the
administrator’s password specified here is still valid, as the
administrator’s password is not saved with the configuration.
