5. FRAMES
5.1 GOLDEN RULES
1. Tighten the wheel nuts thoroughly and check them on a daily basis. Especially in tandem wheel
sets.
2. Lift the frame to its highest position before the wings are folded.

NB:
Extend the wing cylinders on the standard frames fully before planting. This will allow for
flotation of the wings to take place to prevent undue stress on the cylinders and structure.
4. Care must be taken with the speed at which a folded planter is towed. As far as possible, keep
the bins empty when travelling long distances.
5.2 ADJUSTMENTS
Both ranges of frames have the maximum height setting of the tow hitch in common. This setting is
achieved with the first test run where the planter is pulled through the soil. The reason for this
setting is to ensure the frame runs parallel to the ground when the tines are at their working depth.
