The connection will fail when this is done, but will temporarily change the IP address
of the DL6000 to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx.

Finally open another telnet session but this time to port 9999 as follows.
telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 9999

Set the IP address of the DL6000 by changing the
Network
or
Server
settings from the
main menu of the telnet session. The IP address assigned here will become the
permanent IP address of the DL6000.
9.2
Cannot communicate to DH+ node 0 using the DL6000-MEDH+
Any Modbus client that is trying to read or write data to a PLC or device on the DH+ or
DH-485 at node 0 will not work. The reason for this is because the Modbus protocol uses
slave ID 0 as the broadcast address. All Modbus slaves recognize the broadcast address
but do not send a response when a broadcast message has been received.
