Starting the RIC engine
1) Do not use any readily evaporating fuels as a starting aid.
2) Start the generator with care and be aware that the recoil starter can
‘whiplash’. Keep a firm grip on the recoil starter to avoid the risk of
injury.
Using the generating set
Never overload the generator – it may only be used up to the max. rated
power stated on the rating label. Never use the generator under ambient
conditions (temperature, humidity and altitude) that do not conform to those
stated in the ‘Technical Specifications’ section of this manual.
Maintenance
1) Ensure that the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position prior to
commencing maintenance work in order to prevent unintentional
starting.
2) Perform maintenance at the intervals stated in the ‘Maintenance’
schedule contained in the ‘maintenance’ section of this manual.
Instructions for transporting and storage
The generator may only be transported or stored according the instructions
contained in the ‘Transport’ and ‘Storage’ sections of this instruction manual.

The exhaust gases produced by the generator are toxic. Never use the
generator indoors or in otherwise enclosed spaces. Risk of poisoning or
suffocation.

The generator is powered by petroleum spirit, benzol content
0.1 – 1.0 % May cause cancer. Irritating to skin. Harmful: danger of
serious damage to health by prolonged exposure through inhalation,
in contact with skin and if swallowed. Harmful: may cause lung
damage if swallowed. Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness.
Toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the
aquatic environment.
Avoid exposure. Do not inhale fumes. If swallowed, do not induce
