8.2.12.2 GPS external antenna
The GPS external antenna is connected to the modem via the FAKRA-C connector.
The external antenna must have the characteristics described in the table below.

8.2.12.3 Installation of the GPS external antenna
The quality of the GPS signal received depends on the quality of installation of the antenna. To obtain an
optimal signal, some rules have to be respected:
▪ Place the antenna horizontally, dome towards the top and preferably outside the vehicle,
▪ Do not place the antenna under athermic windscreens,
▪ Do not place the antenna under metallic surfaces

This installation does not prevent the functioning of the GPS but highly reduces its
performances.
