Check that the ‘Line Oper Status’ of the line connected to the modem is
‘Carrier ON’, and that the activation parameters of the ADSL line are
displayed.
Test 64 x XDSL Unit Alarms
(Steps h. to m.)
h.
Switch off the xDSL modem (or Golden Modem or Tester) and check that a
‘Loss of Power’ or ‘Loss of Signal’ alarm for the selected line appears on the
Alarm browser.
i.
Power up the xDSL modem (or Golden Modem or Tester) and check that
the ‘Loss of Power’ or ‘Loss of Signal’ alarm for the selected line disappears
from the alarm browser.
j.
Disconnect the xDSL modem (or Golden Modem or Tester) from the HDF
Handover Frame LLUT block and check that the ‘Loss of Signal’
or ‘Loss of
Power’ alarm for the selected line appears on the Alarm browser.
k.
Reconnect the xDSL modem (or Golden Modem or Tester) and check that
the ‘Loss of Signal’
or ‘Loss of Power’ alarm for the selected line disappears
from the Alarm browser.
l.
Repeat steps (a.) to (k.) for the other lines to be tested, each time moving
the xDSL modem (Tester) to the next line pair to be tested on the HDF
Handin Frame LLUT block.
