ip delete interface
12.7.1 Syntax
ip delete interface {<name>|<number>}
12.7.2 Description
This command deletes a single IP interface that was created using the
ip
add interface
command.
12.7.3 Options
The following table gives the range of values for each option which can be
specified with this command and a default value (if applicable).

A name that identifies an existing IP
interface. To display interface names,
use the
ip list interfaces
command.

number
A number that identifies an existing IP
interface. To display interface
numbers, use the
ip list
interfaces
command. The number
appears in the first column under the
heading ID.
