50 and 51 Test Procedure
1. In Relay Control Panel access relay
Metering>Protection.
Monitor:
51 Alarm.
Output Contact 10 (50 Trip).
2. Apply single-phase current to the relay terminals.
Ph A: 300 – 301, 0.5 A
3. Slowly ramp up the current.
At 1.43 to 1.58 A (expect 1.5 A):
51 Alarm = High
4. Continue to raise current.
At 14.3 to 15.8 A (expect 15 A):
50 Trip = High
Contact 10 = Closed
5. Turn current off.
51 Alarm = Low
50 Trip = Low
