of the plastic idler.
Slide Gate Maintenance
After prolonged use, seed may accumulate under the seed box bearings. The excess seed may make it
difficult to adjust the seed box slide gate. To remove the excess seed:
1. Empty the seed box completely.
2.
Use a 9/16” wrench to loosen the three 3/8” nuts on each of the two flange bearings.
3. Allow the bearings to slide up slightly so the plastic idlers lift away from the slide gate.
4. Move the slide gate back and forth a few times to loosen up the seed.
5. Use a vacuum to remove all of the excess seed that had built up under the plastic idlers.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until the slide gate moves freely.
7.
Push the bearings back down to the slide gate and retighten the 3/8” nuts.
