Fan Removal and Installation
1. Remove the cotter key.
2. Remove castle nut.
NOTE:
If you do not use a pneumatic air
wrench, a block of wood placed through the
discharge chute and into the fan area will keep
the fan from rotating when loosening or
tightening the castle nut.
3. Remove the fan from the tapered motor shaft
with a pulley puller.
4. To install, use reverse procedure.
IMPORTANT:
On the 2020 and 2420 models,
the castle nut must be torqued to a minimum of
250 ft-lbs. On the 2420XL model, the castle nut
must be torqued to a minimum of 400 ft-lbs.
