CONFIGURATION
LOCK FUNCTION
Sometimes you may want to restrict access to certain controller functions so that
important parameters or settings are not changed by others.
When the lock function is activated, and the measurement, (remote control) or quick
settings views are displayed, a password is requested whenever an attempt is made
to return to the main menu by pressing either the QUIT or MENU buttons.
Normally, welding equipment will be in one of these three modes when switched on
and the only way to go to other menus is to enter the correct password.

In PASSWORD MODE. the lock function can be activated or deactivated without
erasing the existing password, should the function be deactivated, If no password is
stored and you try to activate the lock function, a computer--like “keyboard” view is
displayed for entering a new code.
A small icon with a key is displayed on the first row of the display when the lock
function is activated. The user can move freely through all menus until he comes to
either the measurement view or quick settings view; at this point, the lock function
prohibits the user from exiting either of these views without first entering the correct
password.
In ENTER/CHANGE PASSWORD, you can edit an existing password or enter a new.
A password consists of a maximum of any ten characters or digits.
