In the upper right hand corner there are “Aux” jacks. Unfortunately, on this amplifier, the volume
adjustment for the “Aux” connections is directly beside it to the left. If you plug into one of these jacks
(either one would work), you will have to adjust your music volume by reaching around to the back of
the amplifier.
In order to adjust the volume from the front of the amplifier, you will need to connect to the “Program
hot” and “Program com” using a small Phillips screwdriver.
You will need a wire with a “RCA” type connector on each end. Cut the “RCA” connector off of one
end of the cable. Then carefully strip off about 1 inch of the outer insulation jacket. Once the outer
jacket is removed, you should see a wire mesh wrapped around a center insulated wire. Pull that
wire mesh back revealing the small insulated wire in the center and twist the mesh together. Then
carefully pull off about ¼ inch of the insulation on the center wire and twist it also. Attach the very
small center wire to the “Program hot” connection, and attach the twisted outer mesh to the “Program
com” connection. Make sure to not break the wires or allow them to touch together. You should now
be able to adjust the music level on the front of the amplifier by turning the “Program” knob.
Most other brands of amplifiers will connect similarly to one of the above examples. If you need
assistance, please have your amplifier brand name and model number available before you call. We
will be happy to help you get your system running.
If you have just received a new Bogen C10 amplifier from us, please connect the speaker wiring as
shown here:
