Block Diagram
The block diagram below illustrates the working principle of the
PB1650DIO1.1 piggyback.

In the top center, you can see the electrical isolation separating the 16 input
and output channels from each other and from the VMEbus system. Below it,
you find the module-internal control unit. This controls the digital inputs and
outputs and generates the ID byte of the piggyback.
