Turning off the Power
□
Shut off power at the electrical panel
before beginning the installation.

Removing Existing Tubes
□
Depending upon the
fixture type, remove the
fixture lens, and set
aside.
□
Remove existing
fluorescent tubes and
set aside to recycle in
accordance with local
requirements.

Removing the Ballast Cover
□
If needed, remove and set aside the ballast cover.

Disconnecting Wires
□
Disconnect the hot and neutral (black and white) wires
from the fluorescent ballast. The ballast is not required to
operate these 4ft. LED tubes (A).
□
Use wire connectors (not included) to cover any exposed
wiring after disconnecting the ballast.
□
Optional: Cut the wires on both ends of the ballast and
remove the ballast and starter. Dispose of the ballast and
recycle in accordance with local requirements.
Installation
NOTE:
LED linear tubes require single end power only. Wiring to one side of the fixture is sufficient. Ensure the lamp end labeled “POWER
THIS END” is installed to the live circuit.
CAUTION:
Sockets or lampholders must be non-shunted. Power flows through the LED tube.

Replacing Sockets
□
Remove the existing shunted
sockets.
□
Insert non-shunted sockets
(B) into the fixture brackets to
replace the previous sockets.
NOTE:
These LED tubes (A) only work with non-
shunted sockets (B).
NOTE:
Depending on the fixture, the existing fixture
may require a retrofit bracket (not included).

Wiring the Sockets
□
Push the solid copper jumper wires (AA) into the holes on
the non-shunted sockets (B).
□
Wire each socket as noted below in the wiring diagram
