3.  Description of the safety function

Devices from this series feature the following safety functions:

Monitoring of the guard position  

(interlocking device with guard locking according to EN ISO 14119)

 -The safety outputs are switched off when the guard is open (monitoring of the door position).

 -The following additionally applies in a BR series connection: the safety outputs are switched on only when the device 

receives a corresponding signal from its predecessor in the chain.
