2. Pull the front hand guard (1) backwards to disengage the chain brake (fig B).
3. Undo the chain tensioning knob (7) till it totally lose in the position (fig.C).
4. Remove the sprocket cover (6).
5. Lay the guide bar (9) over the guide bar guide (24), while inserting the slotted hole on
the guide bar (23) over the protruding bolt (fig.D)
6. Loop the saw chain (10) over the chain sprocket (22). Ensure the correct chain travel
direction
with the marking near the chain sprocket (22).
7. Replace the sprocket cover (6) properly.
8. Tighten the chain tensioning knob (7). Make sure you do not screw it in too tightly.
9. Adjust the saw chain tension by the chain tensioning knob (7) slowly. (see the section of
“adjusting the tension of the saw chain”).
Adjusting the tension of the saw chain
Proper tension of the saw chain is extremely important and must be checked before
starting, as well as during the operation. Taking the time to make needed adjustments to
the saw chain will result in improved cutting performance and prolonged chain life.
NOTE: A new saw chain must be tightened more often. Check the saw chain tension
regularly after every cut and adjust it as required.
1. Pull the front hand guard (1) backwards to disengage the chain brake (fig. B).
2. Undo the chain tensioning knob (7) by a few clicks. (Do not undo it off).
3. Tighten the chain tensioning knob (7) in a clockwise direction to increase the tension
(Fig.E).
4. Check and ensure the saw chain must be lain properly in the groove of the guide bar (9).
Adding Chain Oil
Warning!
Always check the saw chain lubrication before starting work. Never work without chain
lubrication. If the saw chain runs dry, the cutting equipment may become irreparably
damaged in a short time. Replenish the oil in due time before the oil tank is empty.
NOTE: Use only saw chain oil that is preferably biodegradable. Do not use waste oil, motor
oil etc.. Always check whether the chain lubrication is working correctly while working.
• Place the chainsaw on a level and stable surface.
• Clean the area around the chain oil tank cap (3) before filling to prevent dirt getting into
the oil tank.
• Turn the chain oil tank cap (3) anticlockwise and remove it. The chain oil tank cap (3)
is connected to the chain oil tank with an loss-prevention device and can’t fall onto the
floor.
• Add the supplied chain oil to the chain oil tank. Do not spill any chain oil while filling and
do not fill the tank to overflowing.
