Note: These are suggested tension settings only.
Tension settings are affected by:
a) Type and thickness of fabric
b) Needle size
c) Size, type and fiber content of thread
Correct Balance (Fig. 1)
Set each tension dial to the settings shown below and test
sew on a sample of your fabric.
How to Balance
1. When the upper looper thread tension is too loose:
(Fig. 2)
a) Turn lower looper thread tension dial (yellow) to
a higher number.
2. When the left needle thread tension is too loose:
(Fig. 3)
a) Turn the lower looper thread tension dial (yellow)
to a higher number.
3. When the right needle thread tension is too loose:
(Fig. 4)
a) Turn the right needle thread tension dial (green)
to a higher number.
