INTENDED USE
This timer has 3 countdown functions and one stopwatch function. In addition, the
timer can be used as watch.
On the back, the timer has a magnet for attaching it to metal surfaces. Of course,
the timer can also be used standing. For this purpose, there is a foldable stand on
the back of the housing. There is also a wall hanger, to complete the timer's wide
spectrum of use.
It is powered by 2 x 1.5V micro batteries (type: AAA).
The product is only approved for use in dry indoor locations.
Any use other than that described above is not permitted and may harm the product
and result in short circuits, fi re, etc. The product must not be modifi ed or converted.
Always observe the safety instructions included in these operating instructions.
Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference.
EXPLANATION OF THE SYMBOLS
This symbol, with an exclamation mark in a triangle, indicates particular dan-
gers associated with handling, function or operation.
The "Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to
observe these safety instructions! Liability for any and all consequential
damage is excluded!
We do not assume any liability for material and personal damage caused
by improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The
warranty will be void in such cases.
The product must not be modifi ed or converted, as not only the CE approval
will become void but also the warranty will be void.
After rapid changes in temperature, the product requires some time to stabi-
lise, in order to adjust to the ambient temperature, before it can be used. Wait
until the product has had time to adjust to the ambient temperature. Water
condensation could form, which may cause damage to the product.
Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of chil-
dren!
Please contact qualifi ed personnel, if you are unsure about the safety or the
correct use of the product.
Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic fi lm/
bags, etc. can be dangerous playthings for children; there is a risk of suffoca-
tion.
If you have a reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated
safely, disconnect it immediately and secure it against being operated unin-
tentionally.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device does not function any longer and
-
the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period
of time or
- it has been subjected to considerable stress during transportation.
On industrial sites, the accident prevention regulations of the association of
the industrial workers' society for electrical equipment and utilities must be
followed.

Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualifi ed
specialist or a specialised repair shop..

BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION
Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting
the batteries.
Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being
swallowed by children or domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor imme-
diately.
Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the
skin. You should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
Make sure that the batteries are not short-circuited or thrown into a fi re. There is
a risk of explosion!
Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
If the device is not to be used for a while (e.g. storage), remove the batteries. Old
batteries can leak and cause damage to the product; loss of guarantee/warranty!

please read the chapter “Disposal”.

INSERTING/REPLACING THE BATTERIES
If the LCD is diffi cult to read, the batteries need changing.
Remove the cover of the "Battery Compartment" (Q).
Remove the used batteries from the battery compartment.
Insert two 1.5V micro batteries (type AAA) into the battery compartment. The
correct polarity is indicated in the battery compartment.
Replace the "Battery Compartment" cover (Q).
The product briefl y shows all of the display segments. A short sound confi rms it
is ready for use.
