b) (Rechargeable) batteries
• Always check that the battery is inserted in the correct polarity.
• To prevent battery leakage, the battery should be removed from the device if it is
not used for a long period of time. Leaking or damaged (rechargeable) batteries
might cause acid burns when in contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective
gloves to handle corrupted (rechargeable) batteries.
• Keep the batteries/rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children. Do not
leave (rechargeable) batteries lying around, as there is risk, that children or pets
swallow them.
• (Rechargeable) batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into
fire. Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!

Inserting/changing the battery
• Remove the battery compartment lid from the back.
• Insert one AA battery with the correct polarity. Observe polarity as indicated inside the battery
compartment.
Slightly pull on the fabric strap to easily remove the battery. The fabric strap must be
underneath the battery.
• As soon as the battery is inserted, the hands point to the 12:00 position and stay there. The
product will now search for the DCF signal.
• Close the battery compartment.
Replace the battery as soon as the clock is slow or the hands stop completely.

Intended use
This product is intended for displaying the time. The clock can be set manually or automatically
via radio signal. The product has an alarm with snooze function. Power is supplied via one AA
battery (not included).
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in
bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the
product for purposes other than those described above may damage the product. In addition,
improper use can cause hazards such as short circuits or fire. Read the instructions carefully
and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties only together with
its operating instructions.
