e) Viewing the windchill factor, dew point and heat index
• Press the
TEMP.
button (7) to display the windchill factor, dew point and heat index in a loop. "CHILL", "DEW" or
"HEAT" will be displayed together with the corresponding temperature. Press the button again to go back to the
home screen.
f) Viewing precipitation statistics
• Press the
RAIN
button (6) to display the current precipitation rate ("RATE"), the amount of precipitation that fell
during a particular episode ("EVENT"), the daily total ("DAY"), weekly total ("WEEK"), monthly total ("MONTH") and
the total precipitation that feel during the entire observation period ("TOTAL"). The readings will be displayed in a
loop. The readings are displayed in millimetres (mm) or inches (in).
• Press and hold the
RAIN
button (6) for two seconds to reset the current precipitation rate.
• The weather station measures the precipitation over different periods:
"RATE"
The hourly precipitation rate. The outdoor sensor calculates how much precipitation fell during the
last 10 minutes and multiplies the reading by 6.
"EVENT"
The outdoor sensor measures the precipitation that falls during a continuous episode of rainfall.
An event starts when rainfall is recorded and ends when less than 1 mm of rainfall has fallen in
the last 24 hours.
"DAY"
Cumulative rainfall during the current 24-hour period (00:00 to 24:00).
"WEEK"
Cumulative rainfall during the current 7-day week.
The week starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday.
"MONTH"
Cumulative rainfall during the current calendar month. The number of elapsed days is displayed
on the LCD.
"TOTAL"
Cumulative rainfall since the weather station was restarted. To reset this measurement, hold down
the
RAIN
button for two seconds.
g) Viewing wind statistics
• Press the
WIND+
button (5) once to view the gust speed.
• Press the
WIND+
button (5) twice to view the current wind direction in degrees. The direction is also indicated by
an arrow on the LCD display.
• Press the
WIND+
button (5) three times to go back to the current wind speed.
h) Viewing the weather alarm settings
• Press the
ALARM
button (3) once to display the maximum values for the weather alarm. "HI" will be displayed on
the LCD.
• Press the
ALARM
button (3) twice to display the minimum values for the weather alarm. "LO" will be displayed on
the LCD.
• Press the
ALARM
button (3) three times to go back to the home screen.
