This product has been designed to be installed into a plaster board, drywalled, or existing masonry chimney breast.
Please seek advice from a professional, with reference to the structural integrity of the installation site.
The product should never be sealed into a opening with the use of silicones or adhesives as this can also alter the airflow and hinder any further servicing of the product.
INSTALLATION METHOD:
Installing Product:
Each Compton 2 & Compton 1000 product is supplied complete with one wall mounting bracket.
(See Fig:1)
Establish the desired finished height from floor level to the bottom of the hearth of the product.
(See Fig:2) - 33” Dimension is used as standard installation.
Ensure the mounting bracket is level.
Fix the wall bracket to the wall ensuring to use the correct hardware fittings given the wall
construction, drywall or solid wall.
Note: When installing bracket to drywall, the bracket should be secured to at least two solid studs
behind the wall. Use a stud finder to locate and mark the studs. It may be necessary to drill
additional holes in the bracket so that these will line up with at least two wall studs within the width
of the mounting location.
