INSTALLATION

J Series Outdoor Gas Fireplace

Any accumulated rain water will drain from a 7/8” opening in the center rear of the fireplace bottom.

This

opening must not be blocked.

The water which runs through this opening will accumulate in the base of your

enclosure and

must

be allowed to drain away from the enclosure. An appropriate length of 11/2” - 2” PVC pipe

installed at the base of the enclosure which would run down and out, is recommended. These openings must

be checked for blockage periodically.

While combustible framing is permitted, metal

framing is more appropriate for an outdoor

enclosure. A typical installation is shown.

The fireplace is then placed in the framing.

The facing is applied to the framing.
