OPERATING the FIREPLACE
FOR YOUR SAFETY READ BEFORE LIGHTING
WARNING:
If you do not follow these instructions exactly, a fire or explosion
may result causing property damage, personal injury or loss of life.
BEFORE LIGHTING, smell all around the heater area for gas. Be sure to smell next to the floor because some gas
is heavier than air and will settle on the floor.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
•
Do not try to light any appliance.
•
Do not touch any electric switch; do not use any phone in your building.
•
Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone.
•
Follow the gas supplier’s instructions. If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire department.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS USING REMOTE CONTROL
SAFETY FEATURE- When operating the fireplace with the wall switch, remote is inoperable and flame
height will be same level of last setting.
1.
On the remote control, press and release the “ON” button. Sparking will occur 8 seconds after “ON:
button is pressed

Flames are automatically set to high. Press the “LOW” button on the remote control to set the-
flames to low.
3.
When the flames are at the low setting, press the “HI” button on the remote control to set the
flames to high.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS USING THE WALL SWITCH
1.
Press the middle button of the wall switch
2.
Flames will be same level of last setting. To adjust flame height, press bottom button of wall
switch.
TO TURN OFF FIREPLACE
1.
When using the remote control, press the “OFF” button.
2.
When using the wall switch, press the top button to the off position.
PAIRING THE REMOTE TO THE RECEIVER
Insert A23 12 volt battery (not supplied) into the remote control.
Press and release the top button of external control box. This is the “Learn” button. A single long beep will
be heard. Learn window will remain open for 60 seconds.
Press “ON” button on remote. You will hear three short beeps confirming pairing.
