The middle cell displays the BCCH the SIM is connected to. The surrounding cells are other BCCH the
port is detecting.
Each cell displays the following information:
LAC - Location Area Code.
CI - Cell ID
MCC - Mobile Country Code
BSIC - Basic Station Identity Code
BCCH - Broadcast Control Channel
RSSI- Receiver Signal Strength.
You can close the BCCH Control window by clicking on the X button in the middle cell.
To configure the Local SIM BCCH:
1)
On the Main Toolbar, click
Ports
.
2)
From the ports list, select a port to configure.
3)
Select the
Local SIM
tab.
4)
In the Local SIM parameters list, define the following:
Note: To work with the
BCCH timer
, the
BCCH
parameter must be undefined.
BCCH -
The BCCH you want the SIM to lock on. When this parameter is undefined, the SIM
works in Auto mode and locks on to the BCCH with the highest reception level.
BCCH timer
- When defined, the BCCH is rotated according to this amount of time.
BCCH rssi
- When rotating the BCCH, the port randomly chooses only BCCH with a higher
reception level than the rssi definition.
Note: If the BCCH rssi is defined below -100 db, the SIM may not be able to register.

To apply the changes, reset the port.
To configure the SIM Server BCCH:
1)
On the Main Toolbar, click
Virtual SIM
.
2)
Select the
SIM Servers
tab.
3)
Click
Synchronization
.
4)
Select the Profile tab.
5)
In
Servers Profile Selection
, select a profile you want to configure.
6)
In the
Servers Profiles
table, click
+
next to the BCCH parameter.
7)
In
Channel Selection
, select the mode of the BCCH lock:
Auto
- Automatically locks on the best reception BCCH.
Lock
- Locks on to the BCCH that you define in the
List Allowed
.
Random
- Rotates the BCCH. The rotation is performed according to the
BCCH Timer
,
measured in seconds, between all BCCH which have better reception than the
BCCH rssi
.
Note: If the BCCH rssi is defined below -100 db, the SIM may not be able to register.
