Parallel Port Mode [Normal]
Use the
Parallel Port Mode
option to select the mode the parallel port operates in.
Normal D
EFAULT
The normal parallel port mode is the standard mode
for parallel port operation.
EPP
The parallel port operates in the enhanced parallel
port mode (EPP). The EPP mode supports bi-
directional communication between the system and
the parallel port device and the transmission rates
between the two are much faster than the Normal
mode.
ECP+EPP
The parallel port operates in the extended
capabilities port (ECP) mode. The ECP mode
supports bi-directional communication between the
system and the parallel port device and the
transmission rates between the two are much faster
than the Normal mode
The parallel port is also be compatible with EPP
devices described above
Parallel Port IRQ [IRQ7]
Use the
Parallel Port IRQ
selection to set the parallel port interrupt address.
IRQ5
IRQ5 is assigned as the parallel port interrupt
address
IRQ7 D
EFAULT
IRQ7 is assigned as the parallel port interrupt
address
Serial Port1 Address [3F8/IRQ4]
Use the
Serial Port1 Address
option to select the Serial Port 1 base address.
Disabled
No base address is assigned to Serial Port 1
3F8/IRQ4 D
EFAULT
Serial Port 1 I/O port address is 3F8 and the
interrupt address is IRQ4
3E8/IRQ4
Serial Port 1 I/O port address is 3E8 and the
interrupt address is IRQ4
2E8/IRQ3
Serial Port 1 I/O port address is 2E8 and the
interrupt address is IRQ3
