Installing the Convenience Base
with the Vehicle Seat Belt
Secure the convenience
base to your vehicle
seat by routing the vehicle
seat belt through the
openings as shown, then
buckle the seat belt.

IMPORTANT:
Some ELR vehicle belts can be switched
into locking mode for child restraint installation. It may
not be necessary to use a locking clip in these situations.
To install a locking clip, refer to page 44.
Refer to the vehicle owner’s manual to determine which
type of belt retractor is in the vehicle.
Before you begin, be sure the vehicle is on a
level surface.
