The vehicle seat belt must be as tight as possible.
Using your full weight, push the child restraint firmly
into the vehicle seat as you tighten the vehicle
seat
belt
, as shown. Lower the back pad.
Raise headrest to its highest
position (p.
58
), then lift
back pad away from child
restraint for easier access.
Route the lap belt through
the forward-facing belt path
and continue through the
opposite opening of the
child restraint. Fasten the
buckle.
IMPORTANT:
Make sure
the lap belt lies flat without
twisting.
