7. Fasten and adjust
chest clip.
Snap the two halves of
the chest clip together,
as shown, and slide to
armpit level.
6. Tighten harness.
Pull the harness adjuster strap
to tighten the harness.
Note: Make sure the harness straps are snug against
the child with no more than two finger-widths
between the child and straps.
IMPORTANT: A snug strap should not allow any slack.
It lies in a relatively straight line without sagging. It does
not press on the child’s flesh or push the child’s body into
an unnatural position.
Check the harness straps near the shoulders for slack and
adjust as needed.

5. Remove all slack in
harness.
Pull upward on the
harness straps near the
hips, as shown, to
ensure that all slack is
removed.
