Which Type of LATCH Connectors are
on Your Child Restraint?
SureLatch Connector
Quick Connector
In order to properly install your child restraint with the
LATCH system, you must first know which type of LATCH
connectors are present on your child restraint.
• If your child restraint has SureLatch Connectors, begin
installation by referring to “Moving SureLatch Connectors
to the Forward-facing Belt Path,” below.
• If your child restraint has the Quick Connectors, begin
installation by referring to page 40, “Moving
Quick Connectors to the Forward-facing Belt Path.”
To install this child restraint properly in forward-facing
position, the SureLatch connectors MUST be in the
forward-facing belt path
, as shown below (seat pad has
been removed for clarity). If the SureLatch connectors are in
the rear-facing belt path (shown below), use the following
procedures to move them to the
forward-facing belt path
.
To access the SureLatch connectors, you will first need to:
• Loosen internal harness straps (p. 16);
• Disconnect SureLatch connectors (p. 60);
• Remove seat pad (p. 66).
