Play/Pause
Plays the Tone Row from the start. This helps for playing a Tone Row live, because
you can force the first note to be the beginning of the Tone Row, and therefore
you can 'square' the pattern to 8 or 16 notes, etc.

Interval buttons
(including user 1/2/3/4)
As noted above, the interval buttons move the user through the Tone Row by
jumps through the recorded sequence. This includes user-assigned functions
such as “Same Interval”.
Functions which Ignore Tone Row mode:
Other functions ignore the fact that you are in Tone Row, and may in fact take you out of
the Tone Row or even the key signature/scale.

These work as if we are not currently in a Tone Row, so they don't move through
the sequence but instead they play a note the specified distance from the last

Automated
The Tone Row will play automatically if the green light is on (Playback Stage), and it is
receiving signal via Clock in or if internal clock is on)
Record/Stop
Begins recording a Tone Row.
Play
Begins Tone Row playback. The Tone Row will automatically begin playing back without
pressing play if all notes of the scale are used.
Pause
If one presses
while a Tone Row is playing, the instrument leaves auto play and is
returned to non-auto (manual) play Tone Row Mode. The
light flashes to indicate
this pause. When the
button is pressed a second time the Tone Row returns,
