CAUTION!
The UPS has two inputs: a main input and a bypass input. In
a standard configuration, the UPS is delivered with bridged inputs. If only
the main input line is connected, the bridges connecting the main input
lines with the bypass lines should be left in place. The bridges should be
removed if the bypass line is connected as well.
Connecting is done by bolting the ends of specific leads to the terminals. Use wires
with correct diameters as per the installation guidelines. The leads should end with
metal eye connectors.
The electric installation should be designed in a way allowing to disconnect the UPS
unit's connecting point from the mains.
CAUTION!
The UPS should only be connected by qualified technicians,
licensed according to the legal regulations in force.
CAUTION!
To completely disconnect the UPS from the mains it is
necessary to disconnect the power cord.
Because the device uses an internal source of power (batteries with high
combined potential), dangerous voltage may be present in its output,
even though the device is disconnected from the mains.
It is recommended that the building’s protections are one of the used protection
stages. The parameters of the building’s installation protection should match the type
and volume of load connected to the installation. In extreme cases, the different
characteristics of the building's installation protection and the UPS protection may
trigger the former protection earlier.
CAUTION!
The user is required to place the following information on all
mains disconnectors installed away from the UPS location:
“PERFORM THE FOLLOWING STEPS BEFORE COMMENCING WORK ON
THIS CIRCUIT:
- DISCONNECT THE UPS
- MAKE SURE THERE IS NO VOLTAGE BETWEEN ANY TERMINALS (BY
ACTIVATING THE PE TERMINAL)
-
REVERSE VOLTAGE MAY BE PRESENT”
