ECO mode (unavailable in the parallel operation of UPS units).
A power saving, high efficiency mode.
If, after switching the UPS unit on in the ECO mode, the parameters of
power from the mains (voltage and frequency) meet the standard
values, receivers are powered from the mains via an internal filter.
UPS energy blocks do not take part in processing energy and
therefore this mode has high efficiency. In case of an interruption in
the mains or if power parameters of the mains exceed permissible
range, the UPS unit goes into the battery mode (the device is powered
until battery discharge or a restoration of proper power from the
mains).
The function may be activated via the LCD display. Note that the UPS
switching time between the ECO and the battery modes is about 10
ms, which may be crucial for some sensitive receivers. In case of a
loss of the mains power occurring 3 times in a short period of time, the
ECO mode will shut down. In such situations the UPS unit should be
restarted.
Inverter mode (frequency converter).
In the inverter mode, the UPS unit may freely operate with the output
frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz. In case of an interruption in the mains or
if the power parameters of the mains exceed permissible range, the
UPS unit goes into the battery mode and the device is continuously
powered until battery discharge or a restoration of proper power from
the mains.
1)
The function may be activated via the LCD display.
2)
In the inverter mode the load should be reduced to 70%.
Overload.
When the UPS unit is overloaded, an alarm signal is generated twice
in a second. The load of the UPS unit should be reduced by
disconnecting subsequent unnecessary devices. If overload occurs in
the mains operation mode, the UPS unit enters the bypass mode after
2 minutes. After the load is reduced, the UPS unit returns to the mains
operation mode.
Warning.
The appearance of the
symbol means an occurrence of
problems in unit’s operation. Such problems are usually not critical
(e.g. excessive radiator temperature). Nevertheless, pay attention to
such situations, otherwise damage may occur to the UPS unit.
Failure.
The appearance of the
symbol means an occurrence of
critical problems (e.g. damage of the charging circuit). The UPS unit
immediately cuts off power or enters the bypass mode, generating
continuous alarm. LCD backlight colour changes to red.
